Leveraging the many talented professionals & disruptive businesses brought by NXTAsia and BroadcastAsia to Singapore, the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, Business France and La French Tech Singapore organised the first regional business competition of its kind, the ASEAN ICT Awards 2018. The competition gathered startups and SMEs with a high potential of impact in the region. Following a selection led by a uncompromising jury, the top 12 applicants were shortlisted to pitch with just 4 of them eventually winning this revealing awards.
Ubudu was competing for the “New geeks on the block” Award: “You’ve created a new market thanks to the development of a new technology or thanks to the introduction of a new solution.”
Victor Bogey, Ubudu Asia General Manager, made a 3-min pitch in front of the audience explaining how Ubudu develops high-end geolocation solution to make operations in physical sites more productive and safe.
After Jury deliberation, we were delighted to hear that Ubudu won the ICT Awards!
This is a great recognition for us and we are proud to continuously drive change through technology in different industries.
During our time in Singapore, we also exhibited at NXT Asia (a part of ConnectTechAsia) where we had the chance to present our solutions to different companies. Discussions were around how precise location can help in daily operations: from increasing the utilisation rate of forklifts in warehouses to worker safety on construction sites, location technology can truly transform the way businesses operate.
We would like to thank the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, Business France and La French Tech Singapore for their continuous support and high quality work to help French Start-Ups expand their activities abroad. Also, we thank the Ambassador of France to Singapore, H.E. Marc Abensour for delivering the opening remarks of the ICT Awards and coming to our booth to discuss with us.
